Contractors should price the same required outcome. Identify routine, weekly, monthly and periodic work, and show which items are optional or separately approved.
Ask for relevant insurance, certifications, safety systems, screening, references and the proposed management structure. Evidence should match the contract rather than becoming a box-ticking exercise.
Understand supervision, relief coverage, communication, issue escalation, supplies, equipment, inspections and reporting. Ask who will manage mobilisation and what information is needed before commencement.
Separate routine service, periodic work, consumables, optional services and assumptions. Define how variations and annual reviews are handled.
